This building and place has a very sentimental value to me. In 1938, my first wife went to the Senate Office Building. She had a jobinterview with then US Senator Hugh Scott of Pennsylvania, who was also Senate Minority Leader at the time. She wwas not sure if she got the job (She was hired a few days later and did well in the job.) After the interview she walked down to the US Capital Building. When she got into the Rotunda, she was overcome with awe and emotion. She started to cry.
