12 years ago it was October 4,1999. I had gone through a hard time in life. I had left a homeless shelter to my own apartment on July 4,1999. I was surviving on telemarketing jobs. Then I got a job offer to come to Telewave, Inc. as an international salesman. The salary for me was fantastic-$38,000 per year. On the day that I was supposed to report to work, my car was broken down and my bike had a flat tire. I walked from my apartment to the Caltrains station. I took the train and got off at the Mountain View station. I walked in the dark to the Telewave offices. The first day was signing a lot of documents and doing orientations. Over the next 8 years I would sell over $13 million dollars in products. My bad debt write off was $4,400.00. I also helped the president of the company sell $2 million dollars in unsold inventory to Nextel Partners My last day was October 4, 2007. On that month I had over $500,000 in sales. I decided that the best moment to leave was, as the old saying goes, "At the height of my glory." I met Elena while at Telewave. All of the good things I now have in life came from that job!
