Retired Supreme Court Justice David Souter warned about a great
crisis like another horrific terrorist attack, financial meltdown, etc. Some
person steps up and says: ”Give me absolute power and I will solve the problem.”
He said this was the way the Roman Republic gave way to Emperors. He said it 4
years ago. He was describing Trump perfectly.
