Every now and then I go down to San Mateo and visit with a group of people with my nickname of: The Chinese Mafia." They are people born in China who came here to the USA to start their lives over again. Here are the wonderful surprises I found with these people as follows:
1) Every one of them is a legal alien with a Green Card. They all eagerly await the day that they can go to their naturalization ceremony and become US citizens.
2) To the last man and women they think that the US is a magical country and 180 degrees different from China.
3) None of them claims to have been traumatized in China. None of them feels sorry for themselves. They work hard and long hours each day. For example, if their health insurance premiums go higher, they don't complain to the government and ask for a subsidy. They just work harder and pay their bills.
4) They all take very good care of their children. They work hard to give their children a good education and a chance in life.
5) None of them are obese or abusers of alcohol or drugs.
6) To the last man and woman, they are all warm and friendly people with a great sense of humor.
