A Malibu beach mansion has sold for $120 million — a Los Angeles County record.
The buyer is said to be Canadian billionaire Daryl Katz, who owns the Edmonton Oilers.
Owner Kurt Rappaport, co-founder and CEO of Beverly Hills-based Westside Estate Agency, sold his home in an off-market deal, and the sale, which closed on Friday, even includes the home’s contents.
Rappaport even brokered the previous Los Angeles area real estate record — the sale of David Geffen’sMalibu compound for $85 million last May.
Rappaport had bought the Malibu land for $6.8 million in 2006, but it wasn’t until 2012 that his 15,000-square-foot dream home was completed. The pad comes with a 168-foot-long infinity pool, the longest residential pool in California, according to Architectural Digest.
The home sits on six acres on an ocean bluff. It comes with seven bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, a screening room and a gym.
Rappaport married Canadian model Sarah Mutch there last fall, and Christina Aguileraperformed during dinner, while DJ Khaled put on a show later that night for guests such as Ryan SeacrestDerek Hough and Sean Parker.
