Today Elena and I go to a special church service at Cross Roads Bible Church in San Jose. After 14 years as senior pastor, Pastor Sam Nandakumar retires. I first me "Pastor Sam" in 1999 when I began attending services at his church. When Elena and I decided to get married in February of 2001, he was the man chosen to perform our wedding. He is a great religious leader. He is a man of integrity. He is also quite a skilled business man who has done wonders for his church financially. An era comes to an end. It will take a great man or a great woman "to fill his shoes."
Life takes us in many strange directions and wonderful discoveries. It never turns out the way we thought it would.
