The newspaper is full of interesting stories
today. There is an old Chinese proverb that applies here:
"May you live in interesting times."
We are facing a tense and
uncertain 7 days until the inauguration takes place around noon on January
20th. Making matters even worse is the accelerating number of people
getting infected with Covid-19. Elena and Luah are profound admirers of
Japanese people and all things Japanese. There is a stereotype that Japanese
people are rigid, bureaucratic, and inflexible. This is not really true. From
the time that they are little children, they learn one very-important
principle in life:
"Learn to expect
the unexpected."
We all are going to have to
"expect the unexpected" for the next seven days. What is needed is
patience and faith. Life can only be lived one day at a time.
Be careful out there!
