Yesterday I
had to take the Tesla for charging at a Tesla charging station atop a parking
garage in Serramonte Mall. Anna and Luah, you remember what the mall was like
some years ago before Covid-19. I had one hour and ten minutes to wait while the
car was charging. I was able to walk around the mall. A saying in English
applies here:
"It was a ghost of its former
self."
One-half the shops and a major
department store (J.C. Penney's) were gone. One of our old hangouts-The
Elephant Walk Restaurant was gone. Foot traffic was light. There were murals on
many walls bravely depicting new shops coming in the future. I did find a
decent sandwich shop Ike's.
