Upon Reaching Age 60

Today marked my 60th birthday. Aside from a little overweight I am in good health with many things to look forward to.

I had my birthday dinner yesterday. Today was reserved for reflection and soul searching. Making 60 is not that easy. I had three very good friends all through my high school years. None made it to 60.

Four of my friends were killed in Vietnam.

Now is a moment to give thanks. It is a sunny and beautiful day outside. I treasure it!!!
