The Death Of Three Friends Remembered Over 21 Years Later

From 1988 to 1990 I worked for the Mary Lind Foundation in Los Angeles. This is a wonderful residential program for drug and alcohol treatment. My last month was March, 1990. Sadly three of my clients died that month. Bill was an accomplished stage manager. He was in his 50's and got me free tickets to many great LA entertainment events. He died of the cumulative affects of alcohol abuse. Katrina was the wife of a professor at my college-Tulane. She died in a grubby LA hotel of the cumulative effects of alcohol abuse. Lorraine was a wonderful 26 year old woman recovering from cocaine abuse. She had so much life ahead of her and so much hope. She died of a drug over dose. After 21 years I still remember this sadness.
