Yesterday Elena was sick and had a fever. She stayed in bed most of the morning despite the noise of contractors working. She was able to catch up on her rest. I was out all morning running errands. In the afternoon Elena got up. We watched films together. We had one of the most wonderful and loving few hours together. We have not had quality time like this together in months. So her illness had a good dividend. In many cases, "every dark cloud has a silver lining."
Life takes us in many strange directions and wonderful discoveries. It never turns out the way we thought it would.
