The Economic Cost Of Each Covid-19 Death

Last night on the CBS new show 60 Minutes there as a segment about the families of people who died of coronavirus. It was poignant and sad. I have 4 friends whose names are on the marble block in Washington, DC that we know as the Vietnam War Memorial. I still grieve for these people over 50 years later. I understand how these people feel. One family showed a bulky envelope full of papers. It was left with the body of their dead relative, It was a hospital bill for $4 million US. After several months of bureaucratic battles, the health insurance company paid the hospital bill. Each family of a Covid-19 victim got a life insurance payout. This means that insurance companies are suffering huge payouts as a result of this pandemic. Airlines get big bailouts from the government. I do not believe that insurance companies get a government bailout.
