A Small Victory In The War Against Foreclosures

On December 9, 1965, a 17 year old Bill Baldwin moved in with his mom and dad to a new house located in Southeast Houston, Texas. Bill has lived in the house ever since. Last year he fell behind on his mortgage with HSBC Bank. Foreclosure proceedings were started. I have spent the last few months helping Bill fight the loss of his home of 44 years. Yesterday we go the good news from the Harris County Clerk's Office that the lawsuit seeking to foreclose Bill's home had been dropped. We do not know why. But we can only be thankful for a miracle. Bill's mom and dad died some years ago. They would be so relieved to know that he still has his home and did not join the ranks of 2,000,000 home owners who will be foreclosed in the US this year.
