I watch this government shutdown unfold. What terrifies me is a default on the US government debt. Speaker Boehner has indicated through unofficial channels that he will not let this happen. Unfortunately he does not control the more conservative elements of his caucus who very well might let the US default on its debts with cataclysmic consequences for all of us. I am not optimistic!
Life takes us in many strange directions and wonderful discoveries. It never turns out the way we thought it would.
