Excellent post. Spot on. Kim Jung Un suffers from severe personality disorders. He believes he is a God to not only his people but should be recognized as such by the entire world. This complex is an unshakable belief which is characterized by consistently inflated feelings of personal ability, privilege, or infallibility. His father had a similar warped personality but it was more " fatherly" to North Korea than to the world.
North Korea has been kept in the darkness for 60+ years. They have little to no contact with the outside world. No internet. No books other than what the state allows them to read. No newspapers other than those approved and written by the State. They are fed propaganda 24/7/365 year after year that the world is against them and only the Kim family can save them. The people really believe that the world, mainly the USA and the West, wants to destroy them. They are very loyal.
Kim Jun Un has, in addition to his Messiah complex, a desperate need to survive. He shows this in his paranoia. Don't forget he killed his uncle for fear that power would be taken away from him. He wants to stay exactly where he is...the leader of his people who worship him. A war will be totally against that as even he knows his nation will be totally destroyed, as well as his own life.
