Could The US Have Won World War II Without Soviet Help?

It is unlikely that the USA would have been willing to accept the huge burden in cash and lives needed to defeat the Nazis without Soviet help.

The USA lost 419,400 dead, 0.32% of their population. And that was a war that was clearly being won after the first few difficult months. Britain lost 450,900, 0.94%, not counting the Empire. Finland lost 2.62% after a series of changes of alignment that did save them as an independent state. Austria lost 5.56%. Germany (1937 borders) lost 8.23%. The Soviet Union lost 13.7%: 10 million military and another 16 million from Nazi massacres and abuse. (Who Gave Victory in World War Two?)

Films show mostly the Western side. So as memories fade, falsehoods are believed.

The best measure is where most of the German army was killed or captured.

It was overwhelmingly on the Eastern Front:

But people have been persuaded otherwise.
