UFOs-A Probable Explanation

 Madame President:

Your morning briefing...since I was a little child, I have been fascinated by Unidentified Flying Objects or Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon. Last night the news program 60 Minutes had a segment on something that happened in November of 2004.  A US Navy carrier strike group with the USS Nimitz had a strange encounter with UAPs. Here is a video that explains what happened:

The US government admitted that they are investigating this matter and taking it seriously.
Are we alone in the universe? I think not. Have we been visited by aliens from other stars? Anything is possible. When one considers interstellar flight, the term "the tyranny of distance" comes into play. A civilization would need technology for a spacecraft that could maintain the speed of light (186,000 miles per second) for up to decades. Just providing the fuel for such propulsion is a mind-boggling task. If this spacecraft going this fast needs to slow down, it would take a massive amount of distance. If you have living beings on board these spacecraft, imagine the life support and biomedical challenges.
There are many stories about US presidents starting their term and asking for secret documents about UFOs. One story was that they were denied access to these files because it was "above their security clearance level." Former President Obama was asked about UFOs. He smiled and said that this was classified information that he could not discuss.
I got intrigued. I contacted a friend of mine who holds a PHD from The California Institute of Technology in astronomy. He works at the SETI Institute (search for extraterrestrial intelligence.) I posed a question to Seth about President Obama's interview. He gave me a practical and down to earth answer. The US government was very sensitive about the prospect of other nations (primarily Russia and China) having very advanced technology that we did not have. The Nimitz incident could be another nation showing off its advanced capabilities.
Be careful out there!
Stay "Far from the maddening crowd."
