Our plumber was not able to get our sink working last night. He made an appointment for 6:00 AM this morning. Elena had to sleep in the guest bedroom to have some privacy. I had to be up early to manage the dog and let him in. Mohamad from Alansi Rooter and Plumbing arrived a little after 6:00 AM. He went to work on installing the new sink. He had to break off and go to Home Depot to get some parts to finish the job. He came back before Elena got up and had to turn off the water. Elena got up after an awful sleep and had no water. I had to get emergency water for her. She was mad. I had the dog secured outside. She insisted that we bring the dog inside. It was high stress. She left and went to work in a bad mood. Mohamad finished after nine with the sink installation and cutting off a stub so that tiles could be laid. I had offered him some coffee. He declined because it was Ramadan. As he was getting ready to leave he gave me the wonderful news that his employer wa snow the proud father of a new daughter. I sent congratulations and emailed his employers later congratulating him on being a new dad. I was very happy witht he work he had done.
I had to paly “phone tag” with Dave the electrician for two hours before he came out and finished putting electricity in the new room. He and his team showed up and finished their work in an hour. The room is now electrified.
These are small steps forward and it was a painful day. Our poor dog Copernicus suffered so much. He got his first walk this week.
Fixing up a house is hell!!!!!!!!!!!!
