The Nazi Missile Program And Its Incredible Opponent-British Photo Intelligence

My readers I chanced upon an incredible television program this morning. I want to share it with you.




We all know about the German V-1 and V-2 missile programs from World War II some 70 years ago. What I didn't know until now was the incredible job that British photo intelligence people did in identifying the German missile development and launching facilities. This included developing 3-D photos and some incredible flying on the part of aerial reconnaissance pilots and the actual bomber crews who bombed the German facilities.



After the Royal Air Force hit Peendemunde, the Germans were forced to build all of their development and launching facilities underground and out of range of allied bombers. This led to the death of 60,000 slave laborers.



Had Hitler's missile program not been crippled, he could have built and launched enough V-2's to destroy British war making capabilities. The Germans also could have launched missile attacks on the US; even with nuclear weapons in 1946.



This program should also be studied carefully by anyone contemplating attacking Iran's underground nuclear development facilities.
